Risø-DTU

Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy is part of The Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
Risø DTU has extensive experience in socio-economic and energy systems analyses, including technical-economic assessment and systems integration of new emerging technologies. Risø DTU has coordinated and participated in a large number of national and international projects on systems analyses, regulatory frameworks, distributed generation, and policy instruments.

 

EIFER

EDF R&D is looking for new emerging technologies in the field of distributed generation for residential to industrial applications.
Among those technologies, fuel cells have been the focus of research for many years at EIFER (European Institute on Energy Research), a European Economic Interest Grouping between EDF and University of Karlsruhe. Research activities cover a variety of aspects in relation to fuel cells. EDF and EIFER participated in a demonstration project of 4 fuel cell based micro combined heat and power units in France between 2004 and 2006.

 

Simbiente

Simbiente – Environmental Engineering and Management, Lda. is a spinoff company from the University of Minho in Portugal.
The company’s core business focuses on both environmental sustainability assessments and environmental biotechnology, including microbial fuel cells. The company has considerable experience in the development of regulatory frameworks for legislative support. Within technology development, the company is among other things working at laboratory-scale and pilot-scale for the validation of microbial fuel cells technology.
